Information for Out-of-Town Plastic Surgery Patients
Dr. Devlin’s reputation as a compassionate and skilled cosmetic surgeon and word-of-mouth referrals from his satisfied clients mean that a significant number of our patients live outside the Little Rock, Arkansas area. Several patients travel from out of state for Dr. Devlin's expertise.
For some patients, recovering from plastic surgery near family and friends is a plus. However, for many others, the privacy and anonymity associated with an out-of-townpl surgeon better serves their needs. We create a safe and comfortable experience for patients, including those that live outside the Little Rock area. We strive to assure your safety, convenience, and total relaxation should you wish to come to us for your plastic surgery.
Depending on your surgery, you may spend the first night after your procedure at a hotel with a friend of family member. Also, depending on how far you are traveling, it may be necessary to spend the night in a hotel the night before your surgery. Additionally, we have nurses that are available for private duty to accompany you to the hotel and care for you while you recover.
We have worked diligently with surrounding hotels to provide you with comfortable accommodations during your stay.

Private Duty Nursing
Most of the procedures performed by Dr. Michael Devlin are on an out-patient basis. Following the surgery, you will be monitored very closely by Dr. Devlin and the nurses at the surgery center.
Patients living within close proximity to Devlin Cosmetic Surgery typically choose to recover in their own home with a family member. However, most patients stay at the Marriott Residence Inn across the street from our office and continue their post-operative care with private-duty nursing for the first 24 hours.
The Private-Duty nurses specialize in post-operative cosmetic surgery care. Many of them are current or former operative or recovery room nurses. The nurses work independently from Dr. Devlin's office. In the weeks leading up to your surgery, the private-duty nurse will contact you to arrange your care.
On the day of your surgery, the private-duty nurse will meet you in the ambulatory recovery room. She will then accompany you over to the hotel and stay with you. She will also bring you to your post-operative appointment the next day The experience of the nurses and the individualized and focused care you will receive is invaluable in your recovery process and what we strive for at Devlin Cosmetic Surgery.
