What is Kybella?
One of the most common stubborn areas of fat that is difficult to get rid of is in the chin area.
Since weight loss is not very effective in diminishing a “double chin,” liposuction has been the most common procedure to treat this condition but, it is a surgical procedure that requires anesthesia.
Kybella offers a non surgical alternative for treating chin fat with almost no downtown for recovery. With a series of injections, Kybella breaks down fat cells which are then reabsorbed into the body.
Kybella (deoxycholic acid), is a treatment for adults with moderate-to-severe fat below the chin, known as submental fat. This is one of the most troublesome areas of excess fat. As additional fat forms underneath the chin as a result of obesity, aging, and genetics, this submental fat gives the appearance of a double chin. With nearly 70% of patients listing submental fat as an aesthetic concern, a slimmer more contoured chin is in high demand.
Devlin Cosmetic Surgery is pleased to add this exciting injectable to our Arkansas patient's. This injectable that is specifically designed to melt away the fat on your chin. Just like the deoxycholic acid created by your own body, Kybella absorbs fat; however, upon injection into the submental fat zone on the lower part of the jawline and chin, it dissolves the fat cells. Kybella is not designed for other parts of your body; it is specifically designed and only approved to eliminate chin fat.
