My children are still very young. Should I still consider a mommy makeover now?

In one word, YES. Although you may think you are busy now, wait until your children are involved in all kinds of activities! Young children need a lot of attention from you, so the recovery period requires some additional help from friends and family members. But remember: the younger you are, the faster you heal, and the more time you have to enjoy the full benefits of a mommy makeover.

How long is the recovery?

Everybody heals differently. But let's say you undergo a makeover combining three procedures. In this case, you can expect to be at home resting for the first week after surgery. During the next two weeks, you can slowly return to most normal activities. The most important restriction is that you must not lift anything weighing 10 pounds or more for a total of six weeks after surgery. Dr. Michael Devlin will guide you through the process and give you personalized instructions based on how you respond to the surgery.

Why not just undergo separate procedures at different times?

First of all, a combined procedure minimizes recovery time. You won't heal faster, but you will only go through the healing process once. A tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and breast lift with breast implants each require 7–10 days to comfortably get back to a desk job, and longer for more physical work. Undergoing a comprehensive procedure also means only paying expenses like your surgeon's fees, facility fees, and anesthesia once.
