The Breast Lift Procedure
A breast lift can take from 90 minutes to three hours at our Little Rock office, depending on the extent of your treatment. Here is a look at the basic steps involved in treatment.
Day of Procedure
Dr. Devlin has performed thousands of breast surgeries. He can tailor your care to help you achieve precisely the look you desire.
Recovery
Immediately after surgery, the incisions will be dressed and wrapped. You will wear a surgical bra at all times for the next few weeks. Your breasts may be uncomfortable and swollen for a few days, but this can be easily relieved with prescription medication. During this time, your breasts may be numb, but sensation will return over the next few months.
You can get up and move around the house after the first couple of days, and most patients return to desk work after a week. Underwire bras should be avoided for six weeks.
You shouldn't do intense exercise for at least three weeks. Light activity can be resumed about one to two weeks after the procedure. This will be different for all patients. Your cosmetic surgeon will help you understand what to expect every step of the way.
